Paris – New York – Amsterdam, Modern Masters from the collection of the Reinhold De Wilde Foundation shows works on paper from the private collection of the artist Nono Reinhold and her husband Edy de Wilde, the former director of the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven (1946-1963) and the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (1963-1985).
The exhibition is showing colour etchings from the oeuvre of Nono Reinhold and prints of a.o. Willem de Kooning, Sol leWitt, Karel Appel, Niki de Saint Phalle en Roy Lichtenstein.
Most artists were friends she had known when she was living in Paris, New York and Amsterdam.
During the exhibition there are several books of her work available in the bookshop of Teylers Museum and a new book will be launched on the opening, 'Le Voyage Africain 1956-1957', published by Peter Foolen Editions, with b/w photographs of a four month journey through Africa in a Land Rover from Dakar to Kenya in 1956/57.
