The first exhibition of Peter Liversidge at i8 Gallery in Reykjavik. The book Proposals for Reykjavík will be published, by Crymogea, with all 24 proposals for this exhibition.
Some of the proposed works are realised for this exhibition: an outdoor bulb-sign reading: BEFORE/AFTER, boats made from flotsam found on local beaches and a postal piece with objects sent with the post from London and addressed and stamped directly on the objects.
The proposal Rules for Iceland is printed on a billboard size poster and pasted on the gallery wall and distributed also outside the gallery and in newspapers.
A choral piece, written by Liversidge for a choir of 30 adults, will be performed at sunset (23.56 pm) on the opening night at the harbour across from the gallery.
