Peter Liversidge – Daisy Green Collection

The London food & drink cafés Daisy Green Collection has published a limited edition of HELLO T-shirts, sweatshirts and tea towels by Peter Liversidge to celebrate the re-opening of London hospitality. The profits of sales will go to the North Paddington Food Bank and the charity organisation for homeless House of St Barnabas.

This project for the Edinburgh Art Festival 2020 was a restaging of the installation of HELLO flags on public buildings during the Edinburgh Art Festival in 2013.
As well as in 2013 as in 2020 the flags were produced by a Dutch flag company under the authority of Peter Foolen Editions.

The Edinburgh Art Festival took place from 30 July until 31 August 2020.

Peter Liversidge – Sign Paintings at Mile End Park, London

Since 10 April this year Peter Liversidge is installing a still growing group of more than 300 signs at Roman Road near Grove Road at the corner of Mile End Park in London. The signs show support, ask attention for and thank the NHS and other front-line workers like bin men, postal workers, teachers, bus drivers and lots of volunteers in these times of the Covid-19 crisis.

Peter Liversidge says about his signs of the times '... It is along the lines of an open letter to the NHS, care providers, bin men, post office workers, bus drivers and many others to say thank you for doing what they do, which  before lockdown was often overlooked or taken for granted.

Peter Liversidge will be reinventing Allan Kaprow’s Out (also known as Exit Piece) for Jupiter’s opening weekend on 9 and 10 May. Peter Liversidge is inviting anyone too young to vote in last year’s election to take part in his sign-painting studio, which will be installed at Jupiter on 9 and 10 May. Coinciding with our annual Kids Go Free Weekend, this is an opportunity for young people to engage in debate, discussion and to also physically participate in the creation of an artwork by Peter Liversidge that will be installed at Jupiter throughout the summer.


Every day for the past year, Peter Liversidge has sent a hand-painted ‘No Brexit’ postcard to the current Prime Minister, and photos of the final postcards also appeared in newspapers to mark the date the UK left the European Union. Taking inspiration from the idea of a ‘difficult exit’, Peter Liversidge’s modern reinvention seeks to engage young people in debate and discussion about the changes happening in their own lives. Liversidge’s work also marks the beginning of Jupiter Artland’s season dedicated to Allan Kaprow, which will see Scottish and international artists, as well as Jupiter’s Youth Council ORBIT, reinventing key works from Kaprow’s oeuvre, which runs until 27 September 2020.
